Job Overview:
- Seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our delivery team in support of our client’s ongoing cloud modernization program. This role will focus on strategic applications central to our client’s business and end users.
- The successful candidate may be embedded within one of the application teams and operate as part of the broader company delivery squad or operate in a strategic advisory and engineering role. The engineer will collaborate with shared cloud and DevOps specialists and work closely with client’s own engineering and governance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Support the cloud migration and modernization of applications.
- Implement and enhance AWS infrastructure using Terraform, elastic compute services, and related services.
- Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to deliver secure, observable, and well-managed cloud workloads.
- Contribute to deployment pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure patching strategies.
- Create and maintain architecture and deployment documentation as required for compliance and audit purposes.
- Work within client’s governance frameworks and participate in change and release management processes.
- Support performance tuning, monitoring setup (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus), and incident response workflows.
Must-Have Experience:
- 5+ years in cloud infrastructure or DevOps engineering, with strong AWS experience.
- Proficiency in Terraform, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience in enterprise or financial services environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS) and logging/monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Familiarity with IAM, VPCs, networking, and security best practices.
Advantageous:
- Experience with financial markets platforms.
- Exposure to audit-heavy environments and evidence-based change processes.
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
