Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Scrum Master/Project Manager to lead delivery of the Project/Programme.
This role combines strong Agile delivery leadership with robust programme and project management capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving execution across multiple workstreams while ensuring alignment among senior stakeholders across the company.
The ideal candidate will bring:

Key Responsibilities
Programme and Project Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the Project/programme.
- Develop and maintain integrated programme plans, milestones, and critical path schedules.
- Manage scope, timelines, resources, and budget.
- Coordinate interdependencies across business and technology workstreams.
- Ensure delivery is aligned to agreed objectives, quality standards, and governance requirements.
Agile Delivery Leadership
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including:
- Sprint Planning
- PI PLanning
- Daily Stand-ups
- Backlog Refinement
- Sprint Reviews
- Retrospectives
- Managing entire Agile board and (ADO, JIRA<,Confluence eyc)
- Track velocity, sprint progress, and delivery metrics.
- Remove blockers and drive continuous improvement.
Enterprise Stakeholder Management
The successful candidate will:
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across HR, Technology, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Employee Benefits, Investments, Operations, and Shared Services.
- Coordinate activities and align priorities across multiple business units and executive stakeholders.
- Facilitate decision-making where priorities, constraints, and dependencies intersect.
- Drive accountability and ensure timely resolution of risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Prepare and present executive-level updates to sponsors, steering committees, and governance forums.

Required Skills and Experience
Essential
- Minimum 12 years of project and programme management experience.
- Proven track record of delivering large, complex transformation programmes.
- Strong Scrum Master experience in Agile environments.
- Excellent stakeholder and executive management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple teams.
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or banking.
- Working knowledge of Employee Benefits and Investments operations.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
Preferred
- Experience within large financial institutions.
- HR transformation programme experience.
- Experience with self-service portals and identity/access management.
- Familiarity with South African regulatory and compliance requirements.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
SAFe certification is advantageous
